RCMP investigating after cattle carcasses dumped near McLean Creek

RCMP are investigating after cattle hides with brands removed were discovered in the McLean Creek area of Kananaskis Country on Oct. 17.

RCMP are investigating after cattle carcasses were found dumped in the McLean Creek area in Kananaskis Country. 

Turner Valley RCMP were notified of the carcasses on Oct. 17.  

Mounties said the two animals were dumped after being slaughtered, and the brands on the animal’s left shoulders were tampered with before the cattle were discarded. 

Anyone with information about the incident or the owner of the animals is asked to contact the RCMP Livestock Investigations Unit at 403-701-1462.
