Southern Alberta woman killed in crash near Coaldale

Coaldale RCMP responded to a fatal crash that claimed the life of a Foothills County resident on April 17.

Alberta RCMP say a 61-year-old female resident of Foothills County is dead following a car accident in southern Alberta.

Coaldale RCMP responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles on the morning of April 17, RCMP said in a press release.

The accident occurred on Highway 845, north of Coaldale, and the highway was closed for some time as police investigated. It has since reopened.

RCMP extend their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

No further details have been released.
