WESTLOCK – The Village of Clyde remains a single candidate short of meeting the minimum requirement of five to fill all spots on council, prompting another extension of nomination day.

Since Monday, the numbers of candidates has been slowly building — from one on Monday, to four as noon today, Sept. 22. Nominations will again be open tomorrow, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon. If no one steps forward, the deadline will be extended to Sept. 24.

Gerald Austin was the first to declare his candidacy before nomination day. The names of the others will be released once nominations close.
