Well Hello there. My name is Boudica, they call me Boudie for short! I do have a little bit of a sad tale to tell. I was found roaming the streets only with my sister Joanie. Never had a kind hand to tell me it was okay or the loving heart of a human. Or at least that I remember. It was just Joanie and I, learning to survive and finding whatever food we could. We only knew the safety of one another. However, the story gets better! Read on my friend! During our daily roaming we were spotted and that's how we found our way into SCARS. I was so terrified, I didn't know what was going on, I wouldn't even let them pick me up, I would cry and howl. As days went by, I learned what a full belly feels like, what a gentle caress is like, and Belly Rubs!!!! I love belly Rubs!!!! I've learned to trust my fosters slowly! I sit on their laps and allow them to pick me up occasionally now. My full personality is starting to shine, as my worries get left far behind me. I love other dogs, the resident dogs in my Foster Home have really helped me with my progression. I need to go to a home that has a confident dog so they can teach me the ropes and help me come further out of my shell. Older children in the home would be best as I can be a bit mouthy in play, and I startle easy with quick movements. Just remember I am a young pup with lots of learning to be done! I'm working on my potty training still, but I know I'll get a hang of it soon! I am also learning that my crate is a safe place for me and it's getting to be shorter periods of time for me to settle in it. I do get vocal when I want attention, if I see you or the other dogs. I just want to be with you! Therefore, I will need to go to a home where someone is home most of the time. In just a few days I have learned new things and new experiences. I may be a little nervous or shy at first but I do come around quickly if you give me time and space. I am a great girl, and very food motivated which will definitely help with my training. I will require patience in my new home and time to settle down, but I've been taking changes in my life in stride so far! Do I sound like the pup for you? Are you my furever family that's gonna make my story even better!? If so I can't wait to meet you!
