* Must have a confident male dog in the home*

I was rescued by SCARS late last week. I am so incredibly thankful because I was found with a fishhook lodged in my mouth. It was hard and painful to eat. Now that it's out, I enjoy eating and my mouth is healing. I came to care quite skinny, scared, and ready to escape. My foster family has shown me so much love that I can't stop wagging my tail and I no longer have the need to escape. I have been enjoying a warm house, my new foster brothers, pets, and consistent meals. When I first came into care I remained where I felt safe (the basement). I'm quite shy and I can be a little skittish with sudden movements, and noises. If you are looking for a quiet and gentle dog, I am your gal! Since I'm shy, I walk quite lightly on my feet. I am also unsure about doorways and different types of flooring. My foster family has been working with me to build my confidence, potty train me, and learn how to share my space with other dogs without them stealing my resources. I have started to play with my foster brothers and picking up toys, but I am still unsure about the cues I'm supposed to follow. I have so much to learn! I am looking for a loving warm home to live in. I need a home that will work with me on building my confidence. I would also do quite well in a home with a confident dog. Having a male dog will help show me the ropes and schedule of my future family. If I sound like a good match for your family, please apply!
