I'm a happy, sweet, smart, social puppy who is ready for my forever home. I was found lonely and howling, wandering around on the coldest of days and a nice community person called SCARS. They were kind enough to keep me safe in their shed until I could get to a foster home, you see there are a lot of big dogs where I was found and they'd make a snack of me in an instant. I'm so happy I'm safe and warm now! I show my happiness by wagging my long tail and tickling my own ribs. I was such a smart puppy to look for a helper. I love living inside a house and being with my people. I'm already so well behaved and learn quickly. I am still a puppy, though, so that means I still investigate the world with my mouth first, but I can be pretty easily distracted with a fun game of tug. I'm really good at sitting quietly next to foster mom during meal time and I'm getting used to being in my crate when they can't be home to make sure I'm safe. At my foster house, there are two grumpy cats and I already listen really well to their warning growls and hisses. I just want to play, but they have murder mittens, so I know to steer clear of those! I also have a senior foster dog sister and she's teaching me manners like not to bite ankles or steal her ball. I so wish she would play with me, but she's a bit old, so people are fun enough for now. I haven't met a human I didn't like so far, I love to follow foster mom and dad around the house when they're home. I will be a bigger guy, foster mom thinks I'm a Shepherd mix and foster dad thinks I have the back end of a Rottweiler, whatever that means, I think my back end is cute! Speaking of back ends, I'm also doing well learning about going outside to do my business. Foster mom watches for cues and encourages me to go out often, create training is helping with that too, I'm well on my way. All in all I would make a great side kick for any family as long as you have the time to help me grow into the amazing dog I know I can be. I would love someone who is home often as I'm still a puppy and need frequent potty breaks, or maybe I can be your work companion!
