Kuma Dog

Town and Country Today, in partnership with Second Chance Animal Rescue Society, brings you this feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Hello, I'm Kuma and I am looking for a new home!

Animal Type: Dog

Gender: Male

Colour: Brown/Black

Approximate Date of Birth: May 24, 2020

Breed: Mixed breed (large)

Intake Date: March 13, 2021

I am Kuma, hear me roar! No, your eyes are not deceiving you — I really am a big, fluffy, fierce beast of the house! My foster mom says I'm actually just a gentle giant who sounds like a tiny bear cub when playing with my foster dog brother, but that's just because she doesn't want to scare you off! I am an awesome guardian — I protect my foster family with ferocious barks from any suspicious people, parked vehicles, or wind sounds which I know they are very grateful for. However, that's just to protect my image. In fact, I actually LOVE people, and being pet, snuggled, and sleeping by their feet is actually some of my favourite activities. And if you enjoy spending time sitting on the floor, well have I got great news for you! This is prime snuggling time and you will never have to worry about sitting alone again as long as I'm around! I will lick your face, jump in your lap, and demand all of your attention which is easy to give because I'm so obviously lovable. I'm also super smart! I've only been here for just over a week and I've already taught my foster parents several tricks in order to get them to give me treats! While I get along great with my foster dog brother, I am a strong independent doggo who is content to just laze the day away by myself in a comfortable room. As long as I have my human safe at home, all is right in my world.
