SIMBA IS ALIVE!!! … I'm told that is from a movie. I am alive and very thankful for the wonderful vet at Westlock and SCARS for helping me through so I can live a happy, healthy, long life. I love life! I am a very happy (smart) pup my foster home tells me. I know that when I sit and look straight into their souls they will give me all the treats and food! Humans are my favourite, I like to get as close as possible to them, I don't not believe in physical distancing. I like to be beside the humans, on the laps of the humans, I even like when they pick me up! I am learning to play with toys, I am learning to play with my foster brother and I am learning about walks. I have a great sniffer and like to learn! Speaking of learning, I do need to learn some rules for my own safety. Did you know that not everything that falls on to the floor is safe for a pup like me to eat? I am very fast (my foster mom says too fast) and I like to eat anything and everything that falls on the floor. This skill probably helped me survive before I came to SCARS, but now I guess we are working on that 'to keep me safe' she says. Also I just love people so much, and I get so excited to sniff and lick them, but I need to learn about keeping my puppy teeth away from their skin — I guess they can hurt? So maybe a house with older children would be better for me because I am still learning these manners! OK, last thing, as I have been healing up I haven't done many 'outings.' I feel safe and comfortable in my foster home but I will need some help learning about going new places and hearing new sounds — I think that's pretty normal for a pup of my age! So if you are interested in meeting me, snuggling me, and calling me yours, can you promise to help me socialize and experience 'life' in a positive way? Thanks!
