The Colinton 4-H multi-club is well under way and has had a busy fall and winter. The club started in September and meets in Colinton every second Tuesday.
All of our members have their beef projects well under way and gaining weight. We have one member anxiously waiting for spring to arrive to start his poultry project.
The club has already had a group calf weigh-in day and a Christmas pizza party. Then, this past Saturday was the multi-club’s communications day. All of the members took part in speeches and presentations followed by a potluck lunch. Everyone did an awesome job and it was a fun day. We would like to thank our volunteer judged Bill Black, Mikki McKay, and Braidy Borris, who all said they enjoyed the speeches and gave everyone good feedback.
The next round of communications will be districts, held at the Reformed church in Athabasca on Feb. 24 starting at 1 pm. We are all looking forward to all the upcoming events this spring.
