CALLING LAKE - The Athabasca RCMP are asking the public to avoid an area of Calling Lake while they respond to a local residence.
According to a Aug. 2 sent at 5:14 p.m., the threat is contained and there is no ongoing risk to the public, but the Mounties are asking the public to avoid the area, follow the directions of the responding officers, and refrain from posting pictures of police on social media until after the incident is over.
An update is expected when more information is available.
