The death toll from Friday’s two-vehicle crash on Highway 63 is climbing.
The total now sits at seven people who died as a result of the collision.
As the investigation continues, Police have released the ages of those involved. A male and female both 34 years old, a 28-year-old female, an 11-year-old female and a two-year-old male have all been confirmed as deceased.
RCMP say the names will not be released at this time out of respect for the families.
There are two further deceased from the collision, but they have not been identified, and no further information can be provided at this time.
Two more people, a three-year-old boy and 28-year-old male, are being treated for serious injuries in hospital.
The fiery head-on collision between two half-ton trucks occurred north of Wandering River at around 1 p.m. Friday.
"Several brave civilian individuals, with little regard for their own personal safety, assisted on scene by attempting to help victims and extinguish the flames," an RCMP press release said. "The RCMP, and its partners, wish to extend a thank you to those members of the public for their heroism and assistance."
