Environment Canada has issued an advisory for dense fog in parts of the province, spanning from Lac La Biche Wildland Provincial Park to Fox Creek, south to Rimbey, Alta., and Provost.

ATHABASCA — Environment Canada has issued a fog warning for parts of Alberta, which may cause near zero visibility for drivers.

In a Feb. 7 advisory, Environment Canada is warning Albertans of dense fog throughout the night, which is anticipated to subside throughout the day Feb. 8.

The release noted travel is expected to be hazardous as a result of reduced visibility in the affected areas. Environment Canada is encouraging anyone driving in dense fog conditions to slow down, be on the lookout for tail lights ahead, and be prepared to stop.
