Fortis Alberta is working to restore power to the area impacted by the Highway 831 fire after flames took out 23 power poles.

"We understand how challenging this situation is for everyone affected, and we are committed to making repairs as safely and quickly as possible," wrote the company in a Wednesday afternoon Facebook post.

Most of the impacted buildings appear to be in the evacuation zone, according to Fortis' outage map, but the outage is reaching as far away as Newbrook. The north half of Long Lake Provincial Park has been heavily impacted as well.
