Boyle councillors have a variety of topics to discuss during their Nov. 15 meeting, including two bylaws that are expected to pass final reading.

BOYLE - Village of Boyle councillors have a full plate waiting for them in council chambers tonight, with multiple bylaws, a presentation, and three items in the "business arising section" in the Nov. 15 agenda.

Council will start off the meeting hearing from Robyn Laczy, the project coordinator for the North Zone Health Neighborhood Project. Laczy will be bringing more information on the project to the councillors, with the end goal being the expansion of the 'neighborhood' to the community.

During the bylaw portion, councillors are expected to pass the third reading of Bylaw 09-23, also known as the Advertising Bylaw, alongside a supplementary motion. The second reading was passed Nov. 1.

The second and third readings for Bylaw 11-23, the Franchise Fee Agreement Bylaw, are also expected to be passed. Councillors passed first reading Oct. 18, which you can read about here.

The RCMP Quarterly Report for Q2 is in the addendum section of the agenda — Sgt. Dennis Properzi included the numbers for the quarter, as well as his detachments four main priorities: enhancing awareness and education, effective communication, crime reduction, and youth crime.

Lastly, councillors will discuss two items during closed session: Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Division 2 Section 24 (i) (d) Administrative Planning, and FOIP Division 2 Section 17 (1) Third Party Privacy. As always, any motions arising will be made in open session at the end of the meeting.
