Lac La Biche RCMP have released few details about the deaths of two men — one from Buffalo Lake, one from Boyle — who bodies were found in Touchwood Lake earlier this month after a fishing trip went wrong.

Police believe the two men, a 64-year old man from Buffalo Lake and a 26-year old man from the Boyle area, were fishing when high winds and waves caused their boat to flip during the afternoon of Oct.1.

A search-and-rescue team was able to locate the Buffalo Lake man's body first, a few hours after the incident had happened. The second body was found almost 24 hours after the incident.

Names of the deceased have not been officially released and police are still waiting for autopsy results that may indicate the cause of death for both men.

Touchwood Lake is approximately 35 km east of Lac La Biche.
