BARRHEAD – The 'Make the Connection' event on Sept 4 will bring together Barrhead’s extracurricular activities, services, and organizations.
In everyone’s busy lives finding time to research and register for activities can be challenge.
“This event is a great opportunity for local organizations to showcase their services, information, resources, programs, that are available for residents, and surrounding areas to access,” said Terry Lynn Hynes with Barrhead Family and Community Support Services (FCSS).
“The goal is supporting community wellness.”
By attending this event you can learn about and register for programs for your kids, yourself, and get involved in many of the volunteer opportunities.
There are after-school sports or interest activities for your kids like dance class, cadets, or bowling, or register yourself in classes to learn art, indigenous crafts, or self-development classes.
Learn about what programs are offered regularly at the Barrhead Library. There are volunteer opportunities that can provide connection, friendships and great personal satisfaction.
The Pembina West Co-op is sponsoring the event providing a hot dog cookout just outside the event with the Barrhead Fire Department coming out to do the cooking.
