Embracing Christmas

As we approach the holiday season I always appreciate how our community comes alive with color and festive decorations. It is a time not only to enjoy the season but to appreciate all our community has to offer. Please notice our businesses and the effort they put into making their stores reflect the holiday spirit. How the merchants do their very best to provide a home town style of service and products.

I think Barrhead embraces the true nature of community during Christmas as it is very evident with the donations to the food bank and Santa's toy box. I witnessed the generosity of our residents during the Festival of Trees gala and the funds raised for such a wide variety of organizations and programs.

I encourage families to take advantage of the recreational venues that Barrhead and area has to offer, from our amazing new aquatic centre to our walking trails and toboggan hills. This is a great time to explore the community with your family and friends.
