Pembina Hills Transportation department is hosting a Meet the Bus event on August 13.
Kindergarten students and their parents are invited to come to the Barrhead Ecole Barrhead Elementary School at 10 am.
An invitation went out to Kindergarten student families.
“We’ve heard that you are starting school this September and you might need to ride the big yellow school bus to get you there!” reads the invitation from Pembina Hills Transportation.
“Starting school is very exciting and riding the school bus is all just part of the adventure. Let’s get you ready for the start of your first big day!”
There is a bus lane behind the school where a school bus will be waiting.
This is the opportunity to have a look at the bus, climb the steps, sit on the seats, see where the driver sits, and examine everything on the bus.
The hosts will go over the rules of riding on the bus and what is expected of children who ride the bus.
People who attend will have an opportunity to go for a ride on the bus and see what it’s like.
This is a great experience to try out the bus before the first day to give children confidence in what they are supposed to do on the bus.
