Pro North Hockey Camp turns 20

Two-week hockey skills development camp held at the Barrhead Agrena

The Pro North Hockey Skill Development camp, which was hosted at the Barrhead Agrena from Aug. 16-20 and Aug. 23-27, celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The camp is run by Chris Driessen and her husband and has been hosted at the Barrhead Agrena since it opened up.

Chris says “It’s pretty cool” they were able to reach this milestone and admits she didn’t anticipate it going for this long.

There was a full slate of 65 kids of all ages signed up for the camp both weeks. In addition to on-ice sessions where the players develop their shooting, power skating and passing skills, there were also dryland cross-training sessions where the kids built up their stamina.
