Singer/songwriter DJ Warkentin put on an energetic show at the Barrhead Composite High School drama theatre on March 8 as the latest performer in the 2023-2024 season of the Barrhead Concert Series. Warkentin entertained the crowd with a look back at popular music from the 60s and 70s, as one would hear on your transister radio. The next performer in the Barrhead Concert Series line-up is John Wort Hannam, who will take the stage on Thursday, April 25. As well, the one-act play “Carry Your Heart With Me,” which was written by actress Michelle Martin,” will be performed on Saturday, May 4 after the –40C temperatures in January forced a cancellation.
