The Surrey detachment says officers were called to the 12600-block 66 Avenue — the location of Tamanawis Secondary School — at 12:08 p.m.

“Police arrived within minutes and immediately began life-saving measures,” wrote a spokesperson in a press release.

“The 18-year-old victim was transported to hospital, however despite all attempts to revive the individual he has succumbed to his injuries.”

As police continue to gather evidence they are asking anyone with information regarding this investigation to call the IHIT information line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at [email protected].
