The Town warned residents that if they are planning to travel through the area, to proceed with caution.

“Accoding to the Alberta Cougars and Outdoor Recreation website, cougars are elusive and prefer to avoid contact with humans,” the post said.

In order to protect both those on the trails near the Ranchehouse and the local wildlife, the Town advises that residents and visitors keep their distance from any wildlife, even if they may appear calm and friendly.
