Podcast looks for new leads in Saskatoon woman's disappearance

SASKATOON — Friday, the Saskatoon Police Service released its first ever podcast, Deals, Debts, & Death: The Disappearance of Kandice Singbeil.

“Typically, we see technological advancements relating to forensics aid investigations, but we can’t overlook the opportunities afforded to us by new communication tools,” says Acting Chief Cameron McBride. “By introducing a podcast, we are exploring new communications mediums to reach as many people as possible in an effort to generate discussion, and hopefully new leads."

The SPS-produced podcast series explores the 2015 unsolved disappearance of 32-year-old Kandice Marie Singbeil.

Singbeil was last seen riding her bike on a downtown Saskatoon street more than eight years ago. Since that time, investigators have spoken to numerous people and followed up on many different pieces of information.

The podcast explores Singbeil’s life and the investigation into her disappearance, and features interviews with her family, retired and current SPS investigators, and other community members.
