FOOTHILLS COUNTY, Alta — A man has passed away following a motorcycle crash south of Longview Thursday.
Emergency crews were dispatched to a collision approximately one kilometre south of Highway 540 along Highway 22 at around 3:45 p.m. Jun 9, a press release from the RCMP stated, near Bar U Ranch.
Initial investigation found that a motorcycle left the road, and a 72-year-old man from Calgary was declared dead at the scene.
As the investigation continues, police are appealing to the public asking anyone that may have been travelling in the area at the time or may have seen the collision to come forward with information or dash cam footage.
The RCMP stated its thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the deceased.
