Nancy Sand is the newest trustee for Aspen View Public Schools.
Sand, who is from Smith, posted a convincing victory in the Apr. 7 by-election by a count of 168 to 103 to represent North-West Ward 1.
She was up against former Aspen View superintendent Brian LeMessurier.
The by-election was necessary following the resignation of Lewis Semashkewich in early March.
