A St. Albert local is planning a Europe trip after reportedly winning $5 million in the May 7 Lotto 6/49 draw.
The $5 million ticket was sold to Dianne Morgan on Play Alberta, the gambling website announced in a news release. Morgan originally thought it was only a $50 win, but soon realized that it was $5 million.
"The long-time, now retired, travel agent, plans to return to some of her favourite destinations, including Europe where she can enjoy the trip at her own pace," Play Alberta said in its news release.
Play Alberta said the $5 million ticket was the biggest prize claimed on its website.
