STARS flies man believed injured in a fall from Lake Louise

The patient was suffering injuries “consistent with a fall in a mountainous area.”

LAKE LOUISE – STARS air ambulance has flown an injured 40-year-old man from Lake Louise to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary on Thursday (April 18) afternoon.

Blake Robert, a communications officer for STARS, said the patient was suffering injuries “consistent with a fall in a mountainous area.”

He did not have further details on the patient’s condition or the exact location of the incident.

Banff EMS was also dispatched to Lake Louise, according to Alberta Health Services EMS.

It is believed the incident occurred in Banff National Park, north of Lake Louise.
