We are Bert & Cindy VandeRiet and we own and operate Fairwood Sales. This is a family based business and we enjoy supplying wood to all our customers. We believe in providing fast, quality service.
We are located in the County of Barrhead and sell to customers as far as Athabasca, Gunn, Mayerthorpe, Morinville, High Ridge, Dapp, Westlock, Edmonton and Jasper. We service several campsites including Long Island Lake, Thunder Lake, Forfar, Hope Lake and Jackfish Lake. We also supply bundles to many gas stations and stores in the area.

We offer firewood for personal or wholesale use. Delivery service or yard pickup available. Whether you need a trailer, truck, or car trunk full we are here to help.
Spruce, tamarack, and birch each available for bulk purchase and each with their own unique burning qualities. Bark mulch is available for purchase by the bag or in bulk quantities.
Our wood comes cut to a standard size of 16" in length, but we can readily accomodate custom orders to suit your needs.
We can also come to your yard and custom cut logs that you may have laying around. Just call us for a quote.

Wonderful smell as it burns, if you like the nice crackling sound of a fire this is your wood to burn. Great for your outdoor fire-pit, or your wood stove if it can't take the heat of tamarack.
Burns nice and hot, also burns long, leaves very little ashes behind. Some wood stoves can not handle the heat. We have a cast iron stove at home and tamarack burns very well in it.
Burns long because it is very dense, does not give off sparks so it will burn quite quietly, leaves more ashes than tamarack but less then spruce.
We sell bags of bark mulch for landscaping.
Our firestarters are fantastic for camping, ice fishing, hunting, back yard fire pits, wood stoves, fireplaces etc.
