WINNIPEG — Eight people have been taken to hospital after a mass casualty event at Hollow Water First Nation in Manitoba.

RCMP have released few details but say multiple detachments responded to a serious incident early this morning in the community about 200 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.

Shared Health Manitoba says two patients were airlifted to hospital in Winnipeg, while six others were taken by ground ambulance.
