Man found dead one day after motor vehicle accident

Lac Ste. Anne County - A 33-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle collision in Lac Ste. Anne County.

According to a Parkland RCMP media release, an SUV rolled over on Highway 43 near Range Road 34 at about 2 a.m on July 25.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Corporal Ronald Bumbry said when emergency personnel arrived, they found no one in the vehicle and the surrounding area. After further investigation, police determined that the vehicle was driven by a sole male occupant who had not been in contact with his family since the collision occurred.

Police expanded their search efforts July 26, calling in RCMP air services as well as a dog unit. It was through this expanded efforts that the man was located deceased near Range Road 35.

RCMP are not releasing the name of the victim, but did state he was a Sangudo resident.
