A 54-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident near Mayerthorpe on the afternoon of May 11.
RCMP received a report at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday that a motorcyclist had crashed on Highway 757 near Township Road 554.
A preliminary investigation determined that the motorcyclist was heading northbound on Highway 757 when he went off the road.
Mayerthorpe RCMP, emergency services and fire responded to the scene where the driver was pronounced dead. The police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
Police are not releasing the name of the driver. He was from Lake Isle, Alta.
