UPDATE: Sangudo man arrested in convenience store robbery

BARRHEAD - A Sangudo man, who police say was involved in a Nov. 15 convenience store robbery in Whitecourt, has been arrested.

On Dec. 2, RCMP confirmed that Adam Duplessie, 23, was arrested without incident — as a result of the assistance from the media and public, Whitecourt RCMP  laid a charge of robbery and disguise with intent against Adam Duplessie, 23, of Sangudo on Nov. 27.

Police say that on Nov. 15 at 4:05 a.m. a lone suspect entered the 7-Eleven store located on the corner of 50 Ave and 51 Street in Whitecourt with a tire thumper. The suspect demanded money from the clerk, who complied with the demand, at which time the suspect departed on foot.
