ATHABASCA COUNTY - Boyle RCMP are looking for information on two men involved in a "violent altercation" at an October bush party in Athabasca County.

In the early morning hours of Oct. 23, Boyle RCMP, with the assistance of Lac La Biche RCMP, responded to calls related to two victims, already in hospital, with stab wounds that occurred in an area known as the Donatville Dunes, northeast of Boyle near Range Road 662 and Township Road 184.

The party was over, and no one remained at the scene by the time RCMP arrived, but a third victim was later identified as well. All three were treated for non-life threatening injuries and released from hospital.

"Preliminary investigation revealed that a group of youths and young adults held an outdoor party at Donatville Dunes," stated an RCMP media release, received Nov. 24. "Two suspects attended the party and a physical altercation occurred resulting in the injuries to three males. The suspects fled the scene in a dark-coloured pick-up truck."

The first suspect is described as a male wearing a red vest, black hoodie, dark pants, and a commonly-used type of blue, disposable face mask, used for COVID prevention.

The second suspect is described as a male wearing a sweater that was blue on the lower portion.

Boyle RCMP continue to investigate, but are asking anyone who attended the party and has information in relation to this incident to contact Boyle RCMP at 780-689-4081 or your local police service. If you wish to remain anonymous you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
