ATHABASCA COUNTY/BOYLE – Residents in Boyle, Grassland and Wandering River are being asked to conserve water after a leak in the main water line between Colinton and Boyle.

Athabasca Regional Water Services Commission will be repairing the line starting tomorrow, Feb. 3, which is expected to take two days.

The regional water system sends water treated at the water treatment plant in Athabasca south to Colinton, east to Boyle, then north to Grassland and Wandering River. The request to conserve water is to make sure reservoirs can supply these communities while the repair is finished.

“Rural customers directly connected to the transmission line will experience a loss of water serviced during this time,” read a notice on the Athabasca County website, which was also sent out in an alert via the Voyent app earlier this afternoon.

Any questions about the work should be directed to the ARWSC office at 780-675-3375.
