Over 50 riders from all over the province came out to Horse Creek Ranch on the weekend for the fifth annual endurance ride Sept. 14.
The event offered three distances for all age groups; 12 miles, which began at 8:30 a.m., 30 miles, which began at 7:30 a.m., and 50 miles, which started at 6:30 a.m.
Organizer Carla Fry said the ride this year was great, and she couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather conditions.
“It’s so great to have this ride, especially on a day like today,” said Fry. “I was very pleased with the turnout.”
Fry added she was excited to have two riders who recently represented Canada in a Kentucky endurance ride at the event this year.
The ranch would like to thank event sponsors; River Rock Sand &Gravel, Trident Exploration Corp., Champion Feeds, The Back Forty, Wika Instruments, and Insta Box.
“We were happy to have support from some of the local businesses, said Fry. “Without them it would be very difficult to run the ride.”
