It was a close game at the Agrena on Dec. 19, during an exhibition game between the Barrhead Atom 1 Hawks and Westlock’s visiting Warriors.
Kayden Rentz scored the first goal for Barrhead ten minutes into the first period, followed by another scored by Jamie Visser.
Despite a decision by coach Paul Heimstra to pull goalie Rayce Walker by the middle of the third period, as well as a late goal by Jack Wilson with 1.8 seconds left in the game, it was not enough to tip the balance in Barrhead’s favour, with the home team losing 8-7.
