On the weekend of July 24-25, the Barrhead Orioles Peewee baseball team played host to a five-team tournament to determine who reigned supreme in Peewee Competitive Tier V Baseball.
One of the tournament’s organizer’s, Barbara Sabiston, said Alberta Baseball told the Barrhead team that they were going to host the tournament on Tuesday afternoon.
“We thought we didn’t have any more games in Barrhead and all of a sudden we were told we had to host a tournament.” Sabiston said. “Everybody did a great job of pulling everything together at the last moment.”
As of press deadline tournament results were not available.
