Seven Barrhead Swim Club members dived into a competition in Ponoka – and each one surfaced with medals or ribbons.
“The meet was an awesome experience for all who participated,” said the club’s Melanie Cerny.
Here are the Barrhead results from the Ponoka Pool Sharks swim meet Dec 7 and 8:
• Ashlee Laing - 3rd place 50m fly, 4th place 50m breaststroke, 5th place 100m free
• Rylyn Laing - 4th place 50 m breaststroke, 5th place 400 m free
• Ashlyn Rentz - 5th place 100m back
• Breanna Atkinson - 5th place 100 m back, 5th place 100m breaststroke
• Emily Assenheimer - 4th place 100 breaststroke, 4th place 200 IM, 5th place 50 m fly
• Teagan Miller - 2nd place 25m breaststroke, 3rd place 50m back, 4th place 25 free, 5th place 25 fly
• Sydney Miller - 1st place 25m breaststroke, 1st place 25m fly, 1st place 100m IM, 2nd place 50m breaststroke, 2nd place 50m back, 2nd place 50m free
