Barrhead takes on St. Albert in under 14 final

The Barrhead Curling Rink hosted the Non-Competitive Junior Bonspiel on Saturday Jan. 10, and Sunday, Jan 11, something that has not been seen in Barrhead for several years.

The Barrhead under 14 curling team played for the A final title against St. Albert on Sunday, with friends and family crowding the glass to cheer them on.

St. Albert took home the winning title after a tough game. The teams played 6 ends, with Barrhead taking one point in the fourth, and St. Albert taking four in the first, one in the second, one in the third, and three in the fifth.

The B final was St. Albert against Westlock, with Westlock taking the win with a final of 4-2.

Two Westlock teams went head-to-head with the girls of R.F. Staples taking on the Westlock boys team in a match that ended with the ladies winning the C final game.
