BCHS junior high students compete for right to move on to divisionals

Barrhead Composite High School junior high track and field athletes had a chance to compete for not only bragging rights of who could run the fastest or jump the highest, but for a chance to qualify for a regional track and field meet.

Barrhead Composite High School junior high track and field athletes had a chance to compete for not only bragging rights of who could run the fastest or jump the highest, but for a chance to qualify for a regional track and field meet.

On Tuesday, May 19, Barrhead Composite High School hosted its annual Ron Pate Track Meet.

The competition was open to any Grade 7 to 9 student who wanted to test their abilities in a dozen track and field events from the 100-metre dash, to the triple jump and discuss throw.

Depending on the event the top three to five finishers in each event qualified to advance to a divisional or regional track meet, on Tuesday, May 24 at BCHS.
