Boys Senior Gryphon 's win gold

Barrhead Composite High School played host on the weekend to an eight-team, two day day basketball tournament, with teams coming to Barrhead from all over the region.
Barrhead Gryphon, Cole Knudsen, goes up for a layup in their opening game on Friday, Feb. 27 against the Lacombe Knights. Barrhead defeated the Knights by a score of 82 to 62.

Barrhead Composite High School played host on the weekend to an eight-team, two day day basketball tournament, with teams coming to Barrhead from all over the region.

On Saturday the boys team defeated Westlock to go on to play a team from Onoway in the final. The boys beat Onoway 76-56 to capture the gold.

On the girls side, the Lady Gryphons were defeated in round robin play by a team from Lacombe. They went on to play a team from Ardrossan, losing to them 48-36 to finish in fourth place.
