Spring has sprung, though you might not realize it with the weekend’s return of winter.

That hasn’t stopped Athabasca Minor Ball from pushing ahead after holding their annual general meeting and registration night Mar. 4.

President Rhonda Anderson-Steffes explained the association is continuing to accept registrations for all age categories of baseball and softball, without any late fees being applied, until Apr. 6.

“We encourage any parents/guardians of children interested in learning how to play ball for the first time or wanting to further develop their skills to register,” she stated.

All registrations are being taken online this year, which can be accessed through that AMBA website at www.athabascaminorball.com.

After Apr. 6, registrations will be accepted based on roster availability.

At present, AMBA is also looking for two volunteers to take on the review of their financial statements from 2014.

For those interested, more information can be found by contacting the AMBA at [email protected].

The AMBA is also planning to host a Baseball Alberta coaching clinic and a player clinic this season.

The coaches clinic is slated for May 1 to 3, and the player clinic is set for May 9.

More information is available at the website.
