The pee wee Warriors are taking good form into their run for a provincial ‘C' championship banner.

The team, which has also swept its division playoffs so far, is looking great say co-coaches Justin Schram and Mike Towle. The provincials run March 19-22 in Tofield.

'The boys are coming really good together and all playing as a team. Everyone is stepping up and now we're in the playoffs, the boys are stepping up even more," Schram said.

'We are looking good to going all the way to the finals for league and we're really excited about provincials."

After a 13-5-2 regular season and going 3-0 in the playoffs the co-coaches are confident of success at provincials, but are also aware there can be issues with unknown teams.

But they have a strategy for that.

'We watch their warm up, try to pick out the boys that are good and then watch the first period and then pick out the boys that you're going to have to shadow and watch them," Schram said.

'Also, make sure your team doesn't underestimate them," added Towle.

The Warriors have scoring depth across the board with all players but the goalies picking up points in the regular season and just under half the team making into double figures.

'It's great when all the boys come out and contribute to points and put goals in the net," Schram said.

Schram and Towle have instilled a positive ethos on the team, which goes further than wearing suits to each the game.

It's given the squad a robustness than means they can bounce back from defeat.

'We lost to Stony Plain, we played them two games back to back, we lost the first one and won the second game. It really showed that when we want to play we can beat any team in the league," Towle said.

'A big part of it is making sure they are acting like a team, not just in the rink but out of the rink as well."
