Fifteen different cheerleading teams participated in EPCís Cheerfest on Feb. 6 as the annual competition celebrated itís tenth anniversary. Athabasca had five different teams represent the area with two of them finishing in the number one spot.

Fifteen different cheerleading teams participated in EPCís Cheerfest on Feb. 6 as the annual competition celebrated itís tenth anniversary.

Athabasca had five different teams represent the area with two of them finishing in the number one spot.

The WHPS cheerleading team took home first place in the elementary Division 1 after being the only team in the age category.

LTIS had two teams competing against each other with a Gr. 5/6 team and a Gr. 4 team in the Elementary Division 2 category. The Gr. 5/6 team finished in first place with the Gr. 4 team finishing second.

EPCís Junior High Division team placed second in their respected category, losing out to Victoria School from Edmonton. EPCís Sr. Co-Ed team respectively placed fifth, after participating in the largest category of the competition.

Long time EPC Cheer Coach and organizer of the event, Barb LaChance, was honoured at the end of the event from her Sr. Co-Ed for organizing the event for ten years.
