Barrhead Composite High School hosted the junior high Divisional Track Meet last Tuesday.
Students competed in several distance and sprinting running events, discus, shot put, javelin, high jump, triple jump, and long jump.
The top two students in each event qualified for Zones in St. Albert on June 3.
Barrhead had a lot of third and fourth place finishers, however 30 students excelled and qualified for Zones.
The students will head to St. Albert at 8:30 a.m. for a day of competition, and are due to arrive back in Barrhead around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
