TORONTO — Porter Airlines has signed a sale-and-leaseback agreement for four Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
Under the deal, funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group and Goal Aircraft Leasing have acquired the aircraft, which will be operated by Porter under a long-term lease agreement.
Financial terms of the transaction were not immediately available.
Two of the aircraft have already been delivered to Porter, while the remaining two aircraft will be delivered later this year.
Porter already operates a growing fleet of the Brazilian jets.
It says has taken delivery of 46 E195-E2s from a total of 75 confirmed orders. Porter also has an additional 25 remaining purchase options.
