QMJHL Roundup: Loshing scores OT winner to lead Wildcats past Foreurs 5-4

MONCTON, N.B. — Yoan Loshing capped off his hat trick with the game-winning goal in overtime as the Moncton Wildcats defeated the Val-d'Or Foreurs on Thursday.

After going down 3-2 late in the second period, Moncton (5-3-0-1) took hold of the momentum. Francesco Iasenza tied the game 18:58 into the second and Loshing scored his second of the night 5:58 into the third to take the lead.

Kale McCallum scored with just 47 seconds remaining for Val-d'Or (6-5-1) to send it overtime. Just 1:12 into the extra period, Loshing closed out the game.

Vincent Filion had 36 saves in the win. Adam Rouleau stopped 23 shots for the Foreurs.

BATHURST, N.B. — William Rousseau stopped all 32 shots he faced as Quebec (8-1-0-1) defeated Acadie-Bathurst (4-7-1). Pier-Olivier Roy, Charles Savoie, Théo Rochette and James Malatesta all scored for the Remparts.

CHARLOTTETOWN — Jordan Dumais scored two of Halifax's four unanswered goals in the win over Charlottetown (4-3-1). Attilio Biasca and Logan Crosby also scored for the Mooseheads (5-1-1).

HUSKIES 5 EAGLES 3

SYDNEY, N.S. — Daniil Bourash and Bill Zonnon each scored twice as Rouyn-Noranda (6-5-0) halted Cape Breton's (1-4-2) comeback effort. After going down 3-0, the Eagles scored three unanswered before Bourash and Anthony Turcotte closed the deal for the Huskies.
