Miranda Airriess, age 31 passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB. Miranda was born in Barrhead, Alberta on March 19, 1989. She attended school grades K-12 in Barrhead. She went on to the University of Calgary, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geomatics Engineering.
Miranda lived and worked in West Kelowna, BC before returning to Edmonton, AB where she completed her P.eng in computer software. Miranda found her dream job with Lockheed Martin in Calgary, where she worked till her passing. Miranda loved all sports, music, traveling, and her most treasured cat, Cheeseburger.
She leaves behind her mother, Karen; her father, Robert; her big brother, Aaron and many aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. Miranda was taken too soon, she had so much to give. Her last gift was a gift of life to others. Miranda was an organ donor.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to all those who looked after Miranda, including the staff at Choice Memorial. In lieu of flowers or charitable donations in Miranda’s memory, please make a donation to one of your favorite charities. Due to current Covid restrictions, the family will plan to have a Celebration of Miranda’s Life when planning allows.
