Patricia Babiak
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Lynette Babiak on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the age of 60. Patricia was born on January 30, 1961, and grew up on the Family Farm near Island Lake (Larvert) area with her parents Nick &Ally, and brother Randy Babiak. She spent many happy hours skidooing during the winter, fishing during the Summer, and cruising the backroads of Athabasca.
She loved animals, gardening, and hanging out at the lake. She was married to Allan Ashbey in 1981 and had three children. She later moved to Brooks in 2015 and started her new life in Southern Alberta surrounded by new friends, and continued to be a dedicated advocate for intersectional communities and other causes that were important to her.
She is survived by (children) Garrett, Kent, and Cara Ashbey, (brother) Randy & Wife Heather Babiak, and their children, along with other friends and family.
She was predeceased By Her Parents Nick & Ally Babiak of Athabasca.
