Begert, Harold

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Harold Begert of Barrhead, Alberta at the age of 69 years on January 26th, 2022.
Harold will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Diane who will be celebrating their 49th year of marriage; daughter, Laurel (Riley); son, Jeffrey (Lori) and four grandchildren, Carson and Lucas Begert, and Annika and Brett Ruttan; sisters, Irene Stephani, Ursula Mayer, and Ingrid (Doug) Waksel; step-sister, Emi (Walter) Schmidt; mother and father in-law, Fred and Alvena Johnson; brothers-in-law, Rod (Lorraine) Johnson, Doug (Carolyn) Johnson, Herbie (Brenda) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Alvin) Kapler, Maureen (Kevin) Meunier; numerous nieces and nephew and beloved friends.
Harold was predeceased by his parents, Edward Begert (1954), and Eugenie “Jean” Scheidt (2019); step-father, Henry Scheidt (1998); sister, Hilda Moltzan and brother-in-laws Robert Moltzan, George Stephani, and Al Mayer.
A service for immediate family will be held for Harold at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Barrhead, AB (current restrictions are in effect). Internment is immediately after the service at the Glenreagh Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Barrhead Healthcare Center Foundation and Barrhead Grizzly Trail Fire and Rescue Association or charity of choice.
